Atatürkdammen i sydöstra Turkiet verkar vara i kritiskt tillstånd efter att två förödande jordbävningar på 7,5 och 7,8 på Richterskalan inträffade relativt nära den.
Rapporter kommer från Turkiet som säger att "det finns många sprickor i dammen efter kraftiga jordbävningar." De omgivande områdena har redan evakuerats.
Experter varnade för att dammen kan gå sönder när som helst, och den resulterande förödelsen kan påverka ett område på 30 kvadratkilometer nära dammen.
Construction of the Atatürk Dam on the Euphrates in
Turkey was completed in 1993. Its 817 km2 reservoir can
